We finally found the perfect little country house to move to and welcome our first baby into the world…

It’s quirky and full of character, with more than enough niggles to keep me occupied solving them for months, but it’s finally ours and we are very excited.

In a beautiful part of the Cotswold countryside, there are glorious walks through the valleys right from our front door, a garden big enough for chickens and a vegetable patch, a huge inglenook fireplace to snuggle up next to in winter and views across the valley from the kitchen window. Our bedroom is up on the top floor, under the eaves, next to a small but perfectly formed little nursery. The perfect little country cottage for a new family.

We celebrated at what will be our new local with a glass of Champagne and a pint of local beer. I couldn’t have been more thrilled that my Champagne was served in an old-fashioned saucer. I just love a place with good glassware.

We also went on a lovely long walk about the place afterwards, soaking up the new sights and sounds that will soon be so familiar.
