Saw our first daffodils on our walk today…

Such a heartening sight, after what has felt like a long winter.  And there’s plenty of snowdrops around too. Have you ever really looked at a snowdrop? They are not just white flowers with green stems, the petals have gorgeous green stripes running down their inside, while on the tips are tiny little green kisses. I think I’ll tell the Munchkin that they’re fairy kisses…

They don’t last long after they’re picked, so I think I prefer them carpeting the woods and verges around us, but still, they’re a pretty sight on a windowsill on a sunny morning…
