As Munchkin gets more and more and more mobile, clothes that let her move around and work out what her limbs can do are becoming essential. It’s all about shorts and cropped trousers these days, here are our faves….
Cotton Shorts with floral turn-ups, these are snug fitting, so they don’t get caught on her knees and are easy for wriggling around in, (£15, JoJo Maman Bebe); Striped Shorts, loose fitting, so great for warmer months and fitting around nappies, they’re made from a lovely soft linen-cotton mix (£11.99, Zara Mini); Ditzy Print Pants, light cotton with a fun print, these are three-quarter length trousers, so perfect for mobile munchkins (£12, John Lewis); Dotty Cotton Trousers, really flattering, soft cotton and smart too, (£12, Kin); Bunny Harem Pants, soft jersey cotton, easy to wear and wash, with elasticated bottoms so they don’t ride up, (£9, John Lewis); Tweed Shorts, so cute, so country and so useful, also so durable, (£6, F&F); Balloon Puffed Shorts, loose and comfy, plenty of space for growing but short enough to allow Munchkin to crawl, climb and explore, (£10, John Lewis).
More lovely summer-time style on my Pinterest board….
Cute stuff! We’re finding the same now that B is more mobile (although not walking yet) – dresses/skirts are not quite as practical for getting about, especially crawling!
