Munchkin turned one last week, a mega milestone if ever there was one….
And we were blessed with such a wonderful, happy, sunny day…
There were lots of smiles and giggles from the birthday princess, and limited tears and limited drama. Obviously, as it was her Very Important Birthday, the day required two outfits. The first a gorgeous summery printed dress, with matching frilly knickers, followed by a pull-out-all-the-stops pink tutu, with accompanying party hat…

There was plenty of cake – the most amazing handmade iced lemon cake from one of her godmothers in the shape of a 1, and a rich and decadent banana and salted caramel cake from the Lavender Bakehouse, as well as numerous cup cakes and pink meringues…
As it was a gorgeous sunny summer’s day, we were able to celebrate in the garden, with a BBQ for family, followed by a tea party with some of her littler friends. We decorated the garden with plenty of bunting, balloons and pink details, adding colour with flowers, poms poms and pretty china…

It was such a special day – and incredible to remember how different life was just a year before. As always, Munchkin brought such joy to everyone she played with and giggled at, and she went to bed that night a tired, but happy little bunny. What a day…
