A first Mothering Sunday…

This weekend we celebrated Mothering Sunday… And while I have plenty of Mothering Sunday experience behind me, this was my first on the other side of the fence. On the motherly side of the fence. And it was really a rather special day.

October: happy times together…

A lovely month with Munchkin.She’s really starting to show her character, very smiley and friendly, she loves other babies, giggles away at them. September: a new season, a new way of life…

Getting my head round life with a baby a bit more now… …we’ve joined some groups, started baby massage classes, Buggifit, playgroups and endless coffees with friends. As she gets bigger and can now lie by herself watching her mobile or her baby gym I’m starting to get moments of time to myself to get dressed…

August: finding our feet…

….Finding our feet slowly here. Though it’s also been hard. Munchkin is such a good little girl, but adjusting to motherhood has been – like it is for so many – like climbing Everest every day. I love being a mother, but I have been completely side-swiped by how dramatically and completely your life changes.

Welcome to the world…

Our darling little Munchkin finally arrived on 24 June at 1:52am, after almost three weeks of overdue waiting. A little girl – quite a surprise – she weighed 6lbs 15ozs and is, as far as we’re concerned, perfect in every way.
